About WigsGuide

WigsGuide is an independent publication covering every corner of the wig market: fashion human hair, medical cranial prostheses, cosplay builds and men's hair systems. These are four different markets with different leaders, different failure modes and different buyer concerns, and we cover each on its own terms.

The site was rebuilt from the ground up with one rule: no invented content. Seller assessments start from verified third-party reviews and community reputation, every score is explained, and reader reviews are moderated by a human before publication. Where we make a judgment call, the methodology page explains how.

The wig community knows more than any single editorial team ever will. If you have bought from a seller we cover, your review is the most valuable thing on this site. Use the form on any seller page.

Editorial independence

Scores are derived from verified third-party reviews and community reputation, not from advertising or affiliate relationships. We accept no payment for placement or positive coverage, and sellers cannot pay to alter or remove a review. Affiliate links, where they exist, are disclosed and never influence a score.

How we make money

WigsGuide is funded by affiliate commissions on some outbound links. This creates a known incentive problem in review media, so we constrain it: rankings are computed from published scores, the methodology is public, and several of our lowest-rated sellers are monetizable while several top-rated sellers are not.
